Who we are
ORTOO is operated by Story9 Ltd, a company registered in the UK. We connect people who want delivery van driving work with delivery companies hiring in their area. For anything in this notice, email hello@babydriver.story9.agency.
What we collect
When you register, we collect:
- Your name, phone number and (optionally) email address
- Your postcode, so we know which region you are in
- Your answers to a few eligibility questions, stored as simple bands only. For example whether you hold a full UK licence, whether you are 21 or over, a points band such as "0 to 6", and your availability
We deliberately do not collect licence numbers, criminal record information, or any official document details. The eligibility answers are yes/no flags and simple bands, nothing more.
Why we collect it
One reason: to share your details with member delivery companies hiring in your area, so they can contact you about driving work. You give us consent for exactly this when you tick the box at signup. The consent wording names this data sharing, and we record the date and the version of the wording you agreed to.
The optional AI licence check
After signing up you can choose to snap a photo of your driving licence for a quick automated check. This is entirely optional and asks for its own separate consent. Here is exactly what happens:
- The image is sent to Anthropic (a US company acting as our processor) for an automated document-consistency check
- The image is deleted straight after the check
- We keep only the yes/no results of the check, never the image, never any text or numbers read from it
Who we share your details with
Member delivery companies in your region, and no one else. We do not sell your data. A named list of the companies who can see your details is available on request: email hello@babydriver.story9.agency.
How long we keep it
12 months from when you register, then your details are deleted. If you want them gone sooner, just ask.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@babydriver.story9.agency and we will sort it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
No automated decisions
We do not make any automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. The optional licence check produces simple yes/no flags that delivery companies can see alongside your details; a human at the delivery company always decides whether to contact you.
Cookies
We use a consent tool to manage cookies. The essential ones that keep the site working are always on. With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies to measure and improve our recruitment campaigns. You can change your choice any time from the cookie settings.
